“I saw her across the courtyard. She was turning around to face me when time started moving slower than usual. As soon as her eyes met mine the colors in her eyes, what she was wearing and everything around her intensified. The sounds and smells around us both became acute and amplified ten times greater than usual.
Time began to rewind now, before our eyes met, before she turned around, before she walked past me, and stopped right before she knocked my things down. The sound from her steps felt so close to me, I could hear them so well. As she hit me, time then paused. Every student’s faces around us were frozen. Life was still. And I could smell her scent so carefully now. It was like a sweet melon on a summer day.
Now fast forward to her help picking up my papers. We locked eyes. The colors in them were more vibrant, more turquoise. I have never seen something more beautiful. Life paused again, and for that moment I was forever grateful for I got to stare at them longer than I have ever before. I was completely engrossed in them, not because they were beautiful, but because they seemed familiar. I’ve seen these eyes before and have felt what they have done to me.”

“The devil doesn’t exist. Satanism is about worshiping yourself, because you are responsible for your own good and evil. Christianity’s war against the devil has always been a fight against man’s most natural instincts—for sex, for violence, for self-gratification—and a denial of man’s membership in the animal kingdom. The idea of heaven is just Christianity’s way of creating a hell on earth.” —Marilyn Manson (via opiaphiliac)

“When someone you love dies, and you’re not expecting it, you don’t lose her all at once; you lose her in pieces over a long time — the way the mail stops coming, and her scent fades from the pillows and even from the clothes in her closet and drawers. Gradually, you accumulate the parts of her that are gone. Just when the day comes — when there’s a particular missing part that overwhelms you with the feeling that she’s gone, forever — there comes another day, and another specifically missing part.” —John Irving

Dear Future Girlfriend,

notestomyfuturegirlfriend:

I thought that I had met you, but now… Now I’m not so sure. Maybe someday we could be girlfriends, but for now, I’m okay with how we are just friends.

Love,

Me
